Sound Mixing Workshop for Contra Dances

On Saturday, May 14, Brooklyn Contra and CDNY are teaming up to host a live sound mixing workshop taught by Michael Bergman on the science and art of mixing and amplifying live music. Attendees will learn the basic and intermediate skills of live sound mixing, and following the class, each volunteer will shadow a seasoned sound engineer at a CDNY or Brooklyn Contra dance to solidify the training.

Sound volunteers are integral to creating a quality experience at each and every contra dance! Volunteers who provide ongoing help at Brooklyn Contra are eligible to dance for free all season as part of our Volunteer Membership Program.
