Friends! We’re navigating to a night of celistial dancing with the Star Charters! Plus calling from Qwill Duvall.

Cecilia Vacanti (of Kingfisher) and Jess Newman and Mark Price (of Cojiro) are teaming up to play contra dances in a high energy, dynamic trio known as The Star Charters. With Cecilia and Jess on fiddle and Mark holding down rhythm on guitar, The Star Charters bring to the stage a rock-solid groove and level of technical prowess that is complimented by their combined versatility, lyrical twin fiddle harmonies and joyful, off-the-cuff improvisation. This bopping team-up will send dancers over the moon!

Calling since 2019 In their home dance community of Chicago, touring nationally since 2023, Qwill brings an upbeat, playful energy to every dance. With clear, relaxed teaching and an eye for the skill level in the room, they keep dancers engaged — whether with creative choreography, unusual figures, or simply a well-chosen, satisfying dance. Expect a fun, inclusive atmosphere where beginners feel supported, experienced dancers stay intrigued, and everyone leaves smiling.ave been called as far afield as California and Alaska.
