A Contra Dance for All

  • Camp Friendship 339 8th Street Brooklyn, NY, 11215 United States (map)

Ahhh, we’ll see you for the New York City contra debut of this very special band, Midnight on the Water, joined by caller extraordinaire Maia McCormick!

Midnight on the Water combines Nathan Bishop’s viola and fiddle with Dani Hawkins’s cello and Tom Krumm’s fiddle, mandolin, or guitar for a night to remember! "We'd never really met other string players who are equally at home across all musical contexts - until we met one another! What would happen, we thought, if the three of us got together to play ALL the music in a single ensemble? After about a year of musical exploration and rehearsal, we're pretty excited about the results."

Thousands of dances played between 3 uniquely versatile musicians create for an unforgettable contra dance experience!
